César Rubio Degollado

A native of Mexico, his dance training began in Texas where he spent three seasons with Ballet El Paso. He was part of the University of Arizona’s School of Dance were he has performed for 18 years. Mr. Degollado was also with Ballet Tucson where he spent sixteen seasons with credits as principal, soloist and core de ballet roles. He shared the role of Ballet Master and Régisseure with Ballet Tucson. César’s choreography has received national and international awards and has been performed by Ballet Tucson, The UA School of Dance, A Tucson Dance Company, Southern Arizona Dance Theatre, Tucson Metropolitan Dance Company; Nataraja Dance & Yoga, and

DanceCenter both in Stockholm, Sweden; Ballet Neo-Clásico in Mexico City; Ballet El Paso and Viva El Paso! An outdoor drama theatre in both in Texas; Up With People Asian Tour 2005; Suto Dance, Megia/ Kinst Dance Theatre, and Michigan Youth Ballet

and other regional companies. His training and coaching has lead students to be part of professional dance companies such as Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Dutch National Ballet, National Ballet of Czech Republic, Bejart Ballet, Statni Opera Prague, Hubbard Street Dance, Luna Negra, Ate9, and Gallim Dance. He’s traveled as a performer throughout the world and the United States. César is currently a faculty at Tiffany’s Dance Academy where he’s the Director of their Ballet School and Professional Division Program. César is excited to be with the Company for 10 years.

I have learned to draw inspiration from all other art forms and find stimuli in the evolution of movement and fusion of styles. The aesthetic vision of my movement would give the dancer a unique personality, characterized by the fluency, physicality and poetry contained within the work set on dancers.
