CORINA ZIMMERMAN

Corina grew up in the Bay Area and has been dancing since she was five years old. She trained in ballet for ten years at Ballet Petit before branching out to other styles, including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. In 2018, Corina received her BA in English with a minor in education from UC Davis. While attending college, she performed with and choreographed for her school’s Christian dance team. Although ballet will always have a special place in her heart, hip hop is Corina’s current passion and outlet. She particularly encourages freestyling and developing one’s own style. Most recently, Corina had the opportunity to teach summer hip-hop classes at Learning Bee Learning Center in Fremont.

Outside of dance, Corina has experience as an English tutor and teacher’s assistant for elementary school students. As a teacher, Corina strives to bring out the best in each of her students by making them feel seen and by fostering respect, love, and gratefulness. She believes that dance has the power to build self-awareness, individuality, and confidence—as it definitely did for her. Corina is thrilled to be joining the Tiffany’s Dance Academy family and looks forward to helping her students shine.

I am thrilled to welcome Corina to the Fremont studio!  She has already had the opportunity to meet some of your dancers and looks forward to meeting everyone in class this week.
